Manuel Hernandez is from McAllen, TX and a graduate of the University of North Texas where he studied Music Education. During his time at North Texas, Manuel was a member of numerous ensembles including the North Texas Latin Jazz Band, Concert Band, Lab band, the North Texas Pep Band, UNT Green Brigade Marching Band and many more. Additionally, Manuel was privileged enough to study conducting with Mr. Dennis Fisher and saxophone with Dr. Eric Nestler. He currently conducts the 9th grade Navy band, 9th Jazz Band, and teaches Clarinet and Saxophone lessons. His professional affiliations include Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Bandmasters Association, Texas Educators Association, North American Saxophone Alliance, and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.
